Hearts West proudly provides some of the most technologically advanced data management of any cardiology practice in Australia.
All our servers are centrally located in a secure temperature controlled facility with all data backed up using a combination of mirrored array devices and digital data storage. Fast retrieval of older data is available if required.
|Patient management systems
We use HealthTrack as our patient management system, which is an integrated scheduling, booking, accounts and reporting system. Access to HealthTrack is provided to all users, wherever the practice is located via Terminal Services. Reports generated in one site are immediately available at all sites using this technology.
Prosolv reporting systems
Prosolv is a reporting system for cardiac tests, for use predominantly with ultrasound images (echocardiography). We have developed a unique system of data replication which allows the large files generated during echocardiography to be automatically replicated, so studies can be reported immediately, irrespective of where the study was performed.
We use the DMS Holter System (USA), offering single day, and up to 4 days continuous Ambulatory holter monitoring services. All Cardiologists report the holter studies on a rotating roster, resulting in a less than rapid around time for a final report. Using the latest technology developed for our site, we offer local and remote centres an FTP service for downloading holter data to a central FTP database, allowing us to provide rapid turnaround times even for the most remote rural sites.
24 Hour Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
The current system we use is the IEM ABP (Germany) to provide 24 hour blood pressure data. The systems are regularly calibrated and data is transferred to the central site for rapid reporting.
ECG and stress testing
All of our ECG data is acquired using PC-based equipment (either GE or Norav), and is stored centrally irrespective of the practice location, immediately the study is performed. Reporting doctors log in either locally or remotely to ensure rapid reporting of ECGs performed.
